As a seventh grade world history teacher, it is my passion to show how exciting it can be to delve into the past. As a child I believed that history was the tedious study of facts and places. It was my my father who altered this view; he would glance at my homework or textbook and weave a story about the people who lived through the events. Through my father I came to realize that the study of history should be focused on the reoccurring human experience: our accomplishments, our cultures, our failings, our commonalities and our differences. It is through the study of history that we can either grow and become better or doom ourselves to keep repeating prior mistakes.
My goal is to allow my students, as well as any others who stumble across my blog, access to my adventures into history.
